الإمام علي (عليه السَّلام):

مَن أحسَنَ إلى مَن أساءَ إلَيهِ فقد أخَذَ بجَوامِعِ الفَضلِ.

Imam Ali (as):

He who is good to one who has done bad to him has attained all merits.

إنّ حُسنَ الخُلُقِ يُذِيبُ الخَطيئةَ كما تُذِيبُ الشمسُ الجَليدَ، وَ إنّ سوءَ الخُلُقِ لَيُفسِدُ العَمَلَ كما يُفسِدُ الخَلُّ العَسَلَ.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):

Verily good character melts away evil deeds as the sun melts away ice, and verily bad character corrupts one's actions like vinegar corrupts honey.
