الإمام علي (عليه السَّلام):
أنتُم طُرَداءُ المَوتِ، إن أقَمتُم لَهُ أخَذَكُم، وإن فَرَرتُم مِنهُ أدرَكَكُم، وهُو ألزَمُ لَكُم مِن ظِلِّكُم، المَوتُ مَعقودٌ بنَواصيكُم.
