Hadiths Of Characteristics of the Believers

لِأَهْلِ الْإِيمَانِ أَرْبَعُ عَلَامَاتٍ وَجْهٌ مُنْبَسِطٌ وَ لِسَانٌ لَطِيفٌ وَ قَلْبٌ رَحِيمٌ وَ يَدٌ مُعْطِيَةٌ.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):

The believers can be distinguished through four signs: a cheerful face, a gentle tongue, a merciful heart, and a giving hand.’

إنَّكُم لَن تَسَعُوا النّاسَ بأموالِكُم ، فالْقُوهُم بِطَلاقةِ الوَجهِ و حُسْنِ البِشرِ .

The Prophet Muhammad (S):

You will not be able to encompass all people with your money, so meet them with cheerful faces and joy.

الإمام جعفر الصادق (عليه السَّلام ):

ثلاثٌ مَن أتى اللّهَ بواحِدَةٍ مِنْهنَّ أوْجَبَ اللّهُ لَهُ الجَنّةَ: الإنْفاقُ مِن إقْتارٍ ، و البِشْرُ لِجَميعِ العالَمِ ، و الإنْصافُ مِن نَفْسِهِ .

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):

There are three things which if a person performs even one, Allah will make Paradise incumbent for him: to give charity when one is needy oneself, cheerfulness with the whole world, and being just in spite of one's self.

تَبَسُّمُ الرجُلِ في وَجهِ أخِيهِ حَسَنةٌ، و صَرفُ القَذى عَنهُ حَسَنةٌ .

A man’s smiling at his brother is a counted as a good deed, and his removing [something as little as] a speck from his brother is a good deed.
