I am the leader of the believers and wealth is the leader of the debauched.

وَ قَالَ ع عَلَى قَبْرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص سَاعَةَ دَفْنِهِ إِنَّ الصَّبْرَ لَجَمِيلٌ إِلَّا عَنْكَ وَ إِنَّ الْجَزَعَ لَقَبِيحٌ إِلَّا عَلَيْكَ وَ إِنَّ الْمُصَابَ بِكَ لَجَلِيلٌ وَ إِنَّهُ قَبْلَكَ وَ بَعْدَكَ لَجَلَلٌ
Imam Ali (as):
When the prophet (SAWA) was being buried, Imam Ali (AS) said at his grave: Patience is good except over your loss, expressing distress is bad except over you; verily the calamity of losing you is tremendous while every other calamity before or after it is but small.

«... إِنَّا غَیرُ مُهْمِلِینَ لِمُرَاعَاتِکمْ وَ لاَ نَاسِینَ لِذِکرِکمْ وَ لَوْ لاَ ذَلِک لَنَزَلَ بِکمُ اَللَّأْوَاءُ وَ اِصْطَلَمَکم اَلْأَعْدَاءُ فَاتَّقُوا اَللَّهَ جَلَّ جَلاَلُهُ» .
Imam al-Mahdi (as):
Surely, we do not neglect your condition nor are we forgetful of your remembrance. Had it not been so, then, terrible calamities would have struck you and your enemies would have destroyed you. So be wary of your duty to Allah, the Exalted.

مَنْ ثَبَتَ عَلَى وَلَايَتِنَا فِي غَيْبَةِ قَائِمِنَا أَعْطَاهُ اللَّهُ أَجْرَ أَلْفِ شَهِيدٍ مِثْلِ شُهَدَاءِ بَدْرٍ وَ أُحُدٍ.
Imam al-Sajjad (as):
He who stands firm in adhering to our guardianship during the occultation of our awaited saviour will be granted by Allah the reward of a thousand martyrs like the martyrs of the battle of Badr and Uhud.

طُوبَى لِشِيعَتِنَا الْمُتَمَسِّكِينَ بِحُبِّنَا فِي غَيْبَةِ قَائِمِنَا الثَّابِتِينَ عَلَى مُوَالاتِنَا وَ الْبَرَاءَةِ مِنْ أَعْدَائِنَا أُولَئِكَ مِنَّا وَ نَحْنُ مِنْهُمْ قَدْ رَضُوا بِنَا أَئِمَّةً وَ رَضِينَا بِهِمْ شِيعَةً وَ طُوبَى لَهُمْ، هُمْ وَ اللَّهِ مَعَنَا فِي دَرَجَتِنَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ.
Imam al-Kazim (as):
Blessed be those of our followers [Shia] who hold on to our love during the occultation of our awaited saviour, stand firm in our guardianship and disassociating from our enemies. They are from us, and we are from them; they are pleased with us as Imams, and we are pleased with them as followers. Blessed be they, blessed be they. By Allah, they will join us in our rank on the Day of Resurrection.

لَيْسَ مِنْ مَلَكٍ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا وَ هُمْ يَسْأَلُونَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ أَنْ يَأْذَنَ لَهُمْ فِي زِيَارَةِ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ ع فَفَوْجٌ يَنْزِلُ وَ فَوْجٌ يَعْرُجُ.
Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Every single angel in the heavens and on the earth asks Allah, Mighty and Exalted, for permission to visit the grave of Hussain (AS) such that there is always a company of them descending upon Karbala and a company thereof ascending to heavens [after they finish visiting the grave of Hussain].

إِنَّهَا لَتَزْهَرُ بَيْنَ رِيَاضِ الْجَنَّةِ كَمَا يَزْهَرُ الْكَوْكَبُ الدُّرِّيُّ بَيْنَ الْكَوَاكِبِ لِأَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ يَغْشَى نُورُهَا أَبْصَارَ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ جَمِيعاً وَ هِيَ تُنَادِي أَنَا أَرْضُ اللَّهِ الْمُقَدَّسَةُ الطَّيِّبَةُ الْمُبَارَكَةُ الَّتِي تَضَمَّنَتْ سَيِّدَ الشُّهَدَاءِ وَ سَيِّدَ شَبَابِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّة.
Imam al-Sajjad (as):
The land of Karbala illuminates among the gardens of Paradise the way a glittering star illuminates among other stars for the dwellers of the earth, the light of which captivates the eyes of all the dwellers of Paradise, and it calls out: “I am the sacred, pure and blessed land of Allah which contains the pure body of the master of martyrs and the chief of the youth of Paradise.”

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Prostration on the soil taken from the grave of Hussain (AS) illuminates as far as the seventh earth and he who has with him a rosary [Tasbih] made of the soil of Hussain’s grave will be written as the glorifier of Allah even if he does not glorify Allah with it.

أَدْنَى مَا يُثَابُ بِهِ زَائِرُ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع بِشَطِّ الْفُرَاتِ إِذَا عَرَفَ حَقَّهُ وَ حُرْمَتَهُ وَ وَلَايَتَهُ أَنْ يُغْفَرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ وَ مَا تَأَخَّرَ.
Imam al-Kazim (as):
The lowest reward to be given to the visitor of Hussain’s grave at the river of Euphrates is that his past and future sins will be forgiven, provided that he knows and acknowledges his right, his sanctity and his custodianship.
