Whoever visits a sick person, seventy thousand angels will escort him seeking forgiveness for him until he returns to his house.

قالَ اللّهُ عَزَّ و جلَّ : مَن مَرِضَ ثلاثا فلَم يَشكُ إلى أحَدٍ مِن عُوّادِهِ أبدَلتُهُ لَحما خَيرا مِن لَحمِهِ و دَما خَيرا مِن دَمهِ، فإن عافَيتُهُ عافَيتُهُ و لا ذَنبَ لَهُ، و إن قَبَضتُهُ قَبَضتُهُ إلى رَحمَتي.
The Prophet Muhammad (S):
Allah Almighty has said, 'Whoever becomes sick three times and does not complain to any of his visitors, I change his flesh to flesh better than what he has and blood better than his blood. If I cure him, then I will cure him and he will have no sin, and if I take him [in death], I will take him to My Mercy.

قالَ أميرُ المؤمنين عليُّ بنُ أبيطالبٍ عليه السلام للحَسَنِ ابنِه عليه السلام: يا بُنَيَّ، ألا اعَلِّمُكَ أربَعَ خِصالٍ تَستَغني بِها عَنِ الطِّبِّ؟ فقالَ: بلى يا أميرَ المؤمنينَ. قالَ: لا تَجلِسْ علَى الطَّعامِ إلّا وأنتَ جائعٌ، ولا تَقُمْ عَنِ الطَّعامِ إلّا وأنتَ تَشتَهيهِ، وجَوِّدِ المَضغَ، وإذا نِمتَ فاعرِضْ نَفسَكَ علَى الخَلاءِ، فإذا استَعمَلتَ هذا استَغنَيتَ عَنِ الطِّبِّ.
Imam Ali (as):
Imam Ali (as) said to his son al-Hasan (as), 'O son, shall I teach you four things that will make you needless of medicine?' He said, 'Yes, O Commander of the Faithful.' He said, 'Do not eat food unless you are hungry and get up from eating whilst you still desire to eat more, chew well, and before you sleep go and relieve yourself. If you do these you will be needless of medicine.'
