Hadiths Of What should be our main concern?

فيما ناجَى اللّهُ تعالى بهِ موسى عليه السلام : كَيفَ لا يَكونُ هَمُّكَ فيما عِندي و إلَيَّ تَرجِعُ لا مَحالَةَ؟!

:

Part of what Allah said to Moses (as), 'How can your [main] concern not be about [earning] what is with me while you will inevitably return to me.'

اهْجُرِ اللَّهْوَ فَإِنَّكَ لَمْ تُخْلَقْ عَبَثاً فَتَلْهُوَ وَ لَمْ (لن‏) تُتْرَكْ سُدًى فَتَلْغُوَ

Imam Ali (as):

Abstain from acts of amusement for you have not been created in vain that you may busy yourself with amusement, nor have you been left neglected that you may engage in vanity.

Verily you have been created for eternity and not for annihilation; you are in a transient place, a place which is a pathway to the Hereafter.

إنّ اللّه تعالى جعل الدّنيا لما بعدها و ابتلا فيها أهلها ليعلم أيّهم أحسن عملا و لسنا للدّنيا خلقنا و لا بالسّعى لها أمرنا.

Imam Ali (as):

Verily Allah -glory be to Him- has made this world for what comes after it and has put its inhabitants to trial so that He may know who from among them has the best deeds, and we have not been created for this world, nor have we been commanded to strive for it.

Verily today is the day of practice and preparation, tomorrow will be the day of competition where the reward of the winners will be paradise and the ultimate end of the losers will be Hellfire.

Almighty God has not created you in vain, and He has not left you without purpose, nor has He abandoned you in error and blindness.
