Hadiths Of The Most Just Person

أَعْدَلُ النَّاسِ مَنْ أَنْصَفَ مَنْ ظَلَمَهُ ، أَجْوَرُ النَّاسِ مَنْ ظَلَمَ مَنْ أَنْصَفَهُ .

Imam Ali (as):

The most just person is the one who maintains fairness to someone who has wronged him, and the most unjust person is the one who wrongs someone who has been fair to him.

وَ صَاحِبِ النَّاسَ بِمِثْلِ مَا تُحِبُّ أَنْ يُصَاحِبُوكَ بِهِ تَكُنْ عَدْلا.

Imam al-Hasan (as):

Associate with people the same way you would like them to associate with you and you will be considered just.

لَا قُوَّةَ كَغَلَبَةِ الْهَوَى‏ … ِ وَ لَا عَدْلَ كَالْإِنْصَافِ وَ لَا تَعَدِّيَ كَالْجَوْرِ وَ لَا جَوْرَ كَمُوَافَقَةِ الْهَوَى‏ .

:

There is no strength like that of one who can overcome his base desires... there is no justice like fairness, no transgression like injustice, and no injustice like yielding to one's base desires.

مَن واسَى الفَقيرَ مِن مالِهِ ، و أنصَفَ النّاسَ مِن نَفسِهِ ، فَذلِكَ المُؤمِنُ حَقّا .

The Prophet Muhammad (S):

Whoever is charitable towards the poor, and is fair towards people in spite of himself, then he is truly a believer.

الإمام جعفر الصادق (عليه السَّلام ):

إطعامُ الأسيرِ حقٌّ على مَن أسَرَهُ و إن كان يُرادُ مِن الغدِ قَتْلُهُ ، فإنّه يَنبغي أن يُطعَمَ و يُسْقى و يُظَلّ و يُرفَقَ بهِ ، كافرا كان أو غَيْرَهُ .

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):

Feeding the prisoner is the obligatory duty of the person who has captured him, even if he is to execute him the next day; he must be given food, water and shelter, and be treated well whether he is a disbeliever or not.

الإمام جعفر الصادق (عليه السَّلام ):

الكافي عن شُعَيبٍ: تَكارَيْنا لأبي عبدِ اللّهِ عليه السلام قَوما يَعملونَ في بُستانٍ لَهُ ، و كانَ أجَلُهُم إلَى العَصْرِ ، فلمّا فَرغوا قالَ لِمعتّبٍ: أعطِهِم اُجورَهُم قبلَ أنْ يَجِفَّ عَرَقُهُم .

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):

Shu’ayb said: "We hired a group of workers to work in the garden of Imam al-Sadiq (AS) until evening." As soon as their work was finished, the Imam (AS) said to Mu’attab: "Pay them their wage before their sweat dries up."

الإمام جعفر الصادق (عليه السَّلام ):

مَن يَضْمَنُ لي أربعةً بأربعةِ أبياتٍ في الجَنّةِ ؟ : أنْفِقْ و لا تَخَفْ فَقرا ، و أفْشِ السَّلامَ في العالَمِ ، و اتْرُكِ المِراءَ و إنْ كنتَ مُحِقّا ، و أنْصِفِ النّاسَ مِن نَفسِكَ .

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):

Who guarantees four things for me, in exchange for four houses in Paradise? Spend in charity and do not fear poverty, spread greetings of peace in the world, abandon disputation even if you are right, and be fair with people in spite of yourself.

ثلاثٌ مَن أتى اللّهَ بواحِدَةٍ مِنْهنَّ أوْجَبَ اللّهُ لَهُ الجَنّةَ: الإنْفاقُ مِن إقْتارٍ ، و البِشْرُ لِجَميعِ العالَمِ ، و الإنْصافُ مِن نَفْسِهِ .

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):

There are three things which if a person performs even one, Allah will make Paradise incumbent for him: to give charity when one is needy oneself, cheerfulness with the whole world, and being just in spite of one's self.
