Imam Ali (as):
Imam Ali (AS) was asked; 'How will God call all people to account despite their large number?' to which he replied: 'Just as He provides them with livelihood despite their large number.' Then he was asked: 'How will He call them all to account without their seeing Him?' to which he replied: 'Just as He provides their livelihood even though they cannot see Him.'

Imam Ali (as):
Take account of your deeds and oblige yourselves to fulfill what is incumbent upon you, to take from this transient life for the abiding life [of the Hereafter], take provision, and prepare yourselves before you are raised [from your graves for the account].

The Prophet Muhammad (S):
On the Day of Resurrection, the feet of the servant will not slip until he is asked about four things: his years and how he spent them, his youth and how he wasted it, his wealth, whence he earned it and how he spent it, and our love, the people of the household (Ahl al-bayt).'

The Prophet Muhammad (S):
Every bounty will be asked about on the Day of Resurrection except for what was [used] in the way of Allah, Most High.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
The prosperous one is he who sets aside some alone time every day in which he is preoccupied with his own self [takes account of his self, makes an assessment of his deeds and his relationship with God and His creatures].

The Prophet Muhammad (S):
If you wish to live like the prosperous, and die like the martyrs, to be delivered on the Day of regret, shaded on the Day of tremendous heat, and to be guided on the day of deviation, then you must learn the Quran, for it is the word of the All-Beneficent, and a shield against Satan, that will incline the balance in your favor.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Every single heart has two ears; at one of them stands a guiding angel, and at the other stands a deceiving devil. One commands him and the other prevents him; the devil commands him to sin and the angel prevents him from it, and that is the meaning of Allah's verse in the Quran: "When the two receivers receive, sitting on the right and on the left. Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record]."

Imam Ali (as):
O’ servants of Allah, devote your efforts to taking provision in the short period of this world for the long lasting days of the Hereafter; for this world is the abode of action, whereas the Hereafter is the abode of [permanent] settlement and Requital [of Deeds].
