رسولُ اللّه صلی‏ الله ‏علیه و ‏آله : قالُوا [الحَوارِیّونَ لعیسی علیه السلام] : یا رُوحَ اللّه، فمَن نُجالِسُ إذا؟ قالَ: مَن یُذَکِّرُکُمُ اللّه‏َ رُؤیَتُهُ، و یَزیدُ فی عِلْمِکُم منطِقُهُ و یُرَغِّبُکُم فی الآخِرَةِ عَمَلُهُ.
The Prophet Muhammad (S):
It has been narrated by Imam Sadiq (a.s) that the Messenger of God (PBUH) said: The Apostles asked Jesus: Oh spirit of God! Whose company are we to keep? Jesus replied: One whose sight makes you remember God, whose speech adds to your knowledge and whose conduct makes you yearn for the Hereafter.

The one who spends his life seeking out this world has attained a poor deal and has lost divine succour.

مَنْ أَرادَ أَمرا فَشاوَرَ فیهِ إِمْرَءا مُسْلِما وَفَّقَهُ اللّه ُ لاِءَرْشَدِ أُمُورِهِ
The Prophet Muhammad (S):
He who decides to undertake a matter and consults a Muslim man about it [before embarking upon it], Allah will direct him to the most expedient course of action.

إذا استَهَلَّ رَمَضانُ غُلِّقَتْ أبوابُ النارِ ، وفُتِحَتْ أبوابُ الجِنانِ ، وصُفِّدَتِ الشَّياطينُ
The Prophet Muhammad (S):
As soon as the month of Ramadan sets in, the gates of Hell are locked up, the gates of Paradise are opened, and the devils are bound up

بى اُنذِرتُم وَ بِعَلىِّ بنِ أبى طالِبِ اهْتَدَیتُم… وَ بِالْحَسَنِ اُعْطیتُمُ الإْحسانُ وَ بِالْحُسَینِ تَسعَدونَ وَ بِهِ تَشقونَ ألا وَ إنَّ الْحُسَینَ بابٌ مِن أبوابِ الْجَنَّهِ مَن عاداهُ حَرَّمَ اللّه‏ُ عَلَیهِ ریحَ الْجَنَّهِ .
The Prophet Muhammad (S):
You have been warned through me, and will be guided through Ali… And through Hassan, you will be bestowed upon with favor, and through Hussain you will be either prosperous or wretched [depending on how you treat him]. Verily, Hussain is a gate from among the gates of Paradise and whoever is hostile towards him, Allah will deprive him of even smelling the fragrance of Paradise.

مَا أَهْدَى الْمَرْءُ الْمُسْلِمُ عَلَى أَخِيهِ هَدِيَّةً أَفْضَلَ مِنْ كَلِمَةِ حِكْمَةٍ يَزِيدُهُ اللَّهُ بِهَا هُدًى وَ يَرُدُّهُ عَنْ رَدًى .
The Prophet Muhammad (S):
No Muslim has ever gifted his fellow brother with a gift better than a wise saying through which God increases in his guidance and keeps him away from falling into ruin.

A strong person is not someone who overcomes others, rather a strong person is someone who overcomes his own self.

مَنْ أَمَرَ بِمَعْرُوفٍ أَوْ نَهَى عَنْ مُنْكَرٍ أَوْ دَلَّ عَلَى خَيْرٍ أَوْ أَشَارَ بِهِ فَهُوَ شَرِيكٌ وَ مَنْ أَمَرَ بِسُوءٍ أَوْ دَلَّ عَلَيْهِ أَوْ أَشَارَ بِهِ فَهُوَ شَرِيكٌ .
The Prophet Muhammad (S):
He who enjoins good or prohibits wrong or guides towards good or suggests the doing of good will have a share in the reward. And the one who enjoins wrong or guides towards it or suggests the doing of wrong will have a share in its punishment.

وَ صَاحِبُ الْأَمْرِ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ يَحْتَاجُ إِلَى أَنْ يَكُون‏ … ُ نَاصِحاً لِلْخَلْقِ رَحِيماً رَفِيقاً بِهِم‏ … ْ وَ لَا يَسْتَعْمِلُ الْحَمِيَّة .
The Prophet Muhammad (S):
He who enjoins good needs to be well-wishing, compassionate and amicable towards people... and must not exercise harshness.

لَا يَأْمُرُ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَ لَا يَنْهَى عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ إِلَّا مَنْ كَانَ فِيهِ ثَلَاثُ خِصَالٍ رَفِيقٌ بِمَا يَأْمُرُ بِهِ رَفِيقٌ فِيمَا يَنْهَى عَنْهُ عَدْلٌ فِيمَا يَأْمُرُ بِهِ عَدْلٌ فِيمَا يَنْهَى عَنْهُ عَالِمٌ بِمَا يَأْمُرُ بِهِ عَالِمٌ بِمَا يَنْهَى عَنْه .
The Prophet Muhammad (S):
Verily the one who enjoins good and prohibits wrong must possess three qualities: he must be gentle in his enjoining of good and his prohibition of wrong, he must be just with regards to what he enjoins and what he prohibits, and he must have sufficient knowledge about what he enjoins and what he prohibits.
