الامام الباقر «ع»- فيما وصف به النبيّ «ص»: َ يَا مُحَمَّدُ لَعَلَّكَ تَرَى أَنَّهُ شَبِعَ مِنْ خُبْزِ الْبُرِّ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مُتَوَالِيَةٍ- مِنْ أَنْ بَعَثَهُ اللَّهُ إِلَى أَنْ قَبَضَه؟ .. لَا وَ اللَّهِ مَا شَبِعَ مِنْ خُبْزِ الْبُرِّ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مُتَوَالِيَةٍ مُنْذُ بَعَثَهُ اللَّهُ إِلَى أَنْ قَبَضَهُ أَمَا إِنِّي لَا أَقُولُ إِنَّهُ كَانَ لَا يَجِدُ لَقَدْ كَانَ يُجِيزُ الرَّجُلَ الْوَاحِدَ بِالْمِائَةِ مِنَ الْإِبِلِ فَلَوْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ لَأَكَل.
Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (as):
You might think that the prophet spent three consecutive days having eaten to his full since the time Allah mandated him with prophethood until He seized his soul. No, by Allah, he was never satiated for three consecutive days eversince he was commissioned with prophethood until he was taken [to his Lord]. It was not because he did not have access to enough food; he would, sometimes, reward a person with one hundred camels; so had he wanted, he could have eaten.
