Imam Ali (as)

أَعْطِ النَّاسَ مِنْ عَفْوِكَ وَ صَفْحِكَ مِثْلَ مَا تُحِبُّ أَنْ يُعْطِيَكَ اللَّهُ سُبْحَانَهُ وَ عَلَى عَفْوٍ فَلَا تَنْدَمْ.

[لِرَجُلٍ سَأَلَهُ أَنْ يَعِظَهُ لَا تَكُنْ مِمَّنْ] يُعْجَبُ بِنَفْسِهِ إِذَا عُوفِيَ وَ يَقْنَطُ إِذَا ابْتُلِيَ إِنْ أَصَابَهُ بَلَاءٌ دَعَا مُضْطَرّاً وَ إِنْ نَالَهُ رَخَاءٌ أَعْرَضَ مُغْتَرّاً

أخزن لسانك كما تخزن ذهبك و ورقك‏

Guard your tongue the same way you guard your gold and money.

Imam Ali (as)

تَمَامُ الْإِحْسَانِ تَرْكُ الْمَنِّ بِهِ.

The completion of kind deeds is the absence of expecting anything in return.

Imam Ali (as)

عَجِبتُ لِمَن يَقنَطُ ومَعهُ الاستِغفارُ!

I am surprised at the one who despairs whilst he has [the ability to seek] forgiveness!

Imam Ali (as)

عَلَيْكَ بِالاحْتِمَالِ فَإِنَّهُ سَتْرُ الْعُيُوبِ.

You must adopt tolerance [in the face of hardships], as it conceals your faults.
