الإمام الكاظم (عليه السَّلام):

تُستَحَبُّ عَرامَةُ الغُلامِ في صِغَرِهِ لِيَكُونَ حَليما في كِبَرِهِ.

Imam al-Kazim (as):

Naughtiness of a boy in his childhood is good, as it will bring clemency to him as an adult.

He who does not learn as a child does not progress as an adult.

تَوَقَّوا على أولادِكُم لَبَنَ البَغِيِّ مِن النِّساءِ، و المَجنونَةِ؛ فإنّ اللَّبَنَ يُعدِي.

Protect your children from the milk of prostitutes and madwomen, for verily the milk has an effect [on the child].

استَرضِعْ لِولدِكَ بِلَبَنِ الحِسانِ، و إيّاكَ و القِباحَ؛ فإنّ اللَّبَنَ قد يُعدِي.

Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (as):

Get beautiful wet-nurses to suckle your child and keep away from ugly ones, for verily the milk has an effect [on the child].
