Knowledge and Practice

5130 1 شیئر 0

In Islam, knowledge is always regarded as a tool for practical application and for improving the life of an individual and the society. Otherwise it has no value.
The Quran said:

O you who have faith! Why do you say what you do not do? It is greatly outrageous to Allah that you should say what you do not do. [1]

Those who commit a sin unknowingly carry a lesser responsibility than those who do so with knowledge. The responsibility to enlighten others in the society is also proportionate to the degree of ones knowledge.

In Islam, knowledge is always regarded as a tool for practical application and for improving the life of an individual and the society. Otherwise it has no value.

Holy Prophet (s) says:

a knowledgeable person who does not put his knowledge into practice and whose knowledge does not benefit him will bear the most severe punishment on the day of judgement. [2]
