Hadiths Of Love for Worship

الإمام جعفر الصادق (عليه السَّلام ):

أَفْضَلُ‏ النَّاسِ مَنْ عَشِقَ الْعِبَادَةَ فَعَانَقَهَا، وَ أَحَبَّهَا بِقَلْبِهِ، وَ بَاشَرَهَا بِجَسَدِهِ، وَ تَفَرَّغَ لَهَا، فَهُوَ لَايُبَالِي عَلى‏ مَا أَصْبَحَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا، عَلى‏ عُسْرٍ أَمْ عَلى‏ يُسْرٍ.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):

The best of people is he who longs for worship and embraces it, loves it with his heart, throws himself into it with his whole body, and devotes himself exclusively to it, such that he is not concerned in what worldly state he wakes up in the morning; in difficulty or in ease.

حُبُّكَ للشَّيْ ء يُعْمي ويُصِمُّ.

The Prophet Muhammad (S):

Your love for a particular thing makes you blind [to its faults] and deaf.

الإمام علي (عليه السَّلام):

ومَن عَشِقَ شَيئا أعشى (أعمى) بَصَرَهُ وأمرَضَ قَلبَهُ، فَهُوَ يَنظُرُ بِعَينٍ غَيرِ صَحيحَةٍ، ويَسمَعُ بِاذُنٍ غَيرِ سَميعَةٍ، قَد خَرَقَتِ الشَّهَواتُ عَقلَهُ، وأماتَتِ الدّنيا قَلبَهُ.

Imam Ali (as):

The one who is infatuated with something, his eyes become blind and his heart becomes sick, such that he sees with unsound eyes and hears with deaf ears, his base desires having torn apart his reason and [love of] the world having killed his heart.
