عَجَبٌ لِمَنْ يَتَفَكَّرُ فِي مَأْكُولِهِ كَيْفَ لَا يَتَفَكَّرُ فِي مَعْقُولِهِ فَيُجَنِّبُ بَطْنَهُ مَا يُؤْذِيهِ وَ يُودِعُ صَدْرَهُ مَا يُرْدِيهِ .
Imam al-Hasan (as):
I wonder at the one who is selective about his food choices but does not care about the food for his soul, so he refrains from the types of food which are detrimental to him but allows into his heart that which will ruin him.

Learn the Qur'an, for it is the spring of hearts, and seek cure from its light, for it is the cure [for what is in the] breasts.
