:
إِنَّ لِلسَّخَاءِ مِقْدَاراً فَإِنْ زَادَ عَلَيْهِ فَهُوَ سَرَفٌ وَ لِلْحَزْمِ مِقْدَاراً فَإِنْ زَادَ عَلَيْهِ فَهُوَ جُبْنٌ وَ لِلِاقْتِصَادِ مِقْدَاراً فَإِنْ زَادَ عَلَيْهِ فَهُوَ بُخْلٌ وَ لِلشَّجَاعَةِ مِقْدَاراً فَإِنْ زَادَ عَلَيْهِ فَهُوَ تَهَوُّر .
En verdad, la generosidad tiene un límite establecido, que si se sobrepasa, se convierte en despilfarro. La prudencia tiene un límite que, si se sobrepasa, se convierte en cobardía. Economizar tiene un límite que, si se sobrepasa, se convierte en avaricia. Y el coraje tiene un límite establecido, que si se sobrepasa, se convierte en temeridad.
