كَانَ الْمَسِيحُ عليه السلام يَقُولُ: لَاتُكْثِرُوا الْكَلَامَ فِي غَيْرِ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ؛ فَإِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُكْثِرُونَ الْكَلَامَ فِي غَيْرِ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ‏ قَاسِيَةٌ قُلُوبُهُمْ، وَ لكِنْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):

Prophet Jesus (as) used to say: "Do not speak too mush about matters other than the remembrance of God, for verily the hearts of those who speak too mush about matters other than the remembrance of God become hardened without them knowing it."
