قَالَ عِيسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ لِرَجُلٍ مَا تَصْنَعُ قَالَ أَتَعَبَّدُ قَالَ فَمَنْ يَعُودُ عَلَيْكَ قَالَ أَخِي قَالَ أَخُوكَ أَعْبَدُ مِنْكَ
:
Prophet Jesus (AS) asked a man, ‘What are you doing?’ The man replied, ‘I am worshipping.’ So he asked, ‘Then who is it that supports you [financially]?’ He replied, ‘My brother’, to which Prophet Jesus (AS) said, ‘Your brother is a better worshipper than you.’

There is no treasure more precious than contentment, and no wealth better removes destitution than being satisfied with one's daily sustenance.

إِنَّ لِلْوَلَدِ عَلَى الْوَالِدِ حَقّاً، وَإِنَّ لِلْوَالِدِ عَلَى الْوَلَدِ حَقّاً: فَحَقُّ الْوَالِدِ عَلَى الْوَلَدِ أَنْ يُطِيعَهُ فِي كُلِّ شَيْءٍ إِلاَّ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللهِ سُبْحَانَهُ، وَحَقُّ الْوَلَدِ عَلَى الْوَالِدِ أَنْ يُحَسِّنَ اسْمَهُ وَيُحَسِّنَ أَدَبَهُ وَيُعَلِّمَهُ الْقُرْآنَ
Imam Ali (as):
The child has a right incumbent upon the father, and the father, too, has a right incumbent upon the child. The right of the father incumbent upon the child is that he should obey him in every matter save in disobeying Allah, the Glorified, and the right of a child incumbent upon his father is that he should give him a good name, good manners, and teach him the Quran The right of a child incumbent upon his father is that he should give him a good name, and good manners, and teach him the Quran.

وَ هَنَّأَ بِحَضْرَتِهِ رَجُلٌ رَجُلًا بِغُلَامٍ وُلِدَ لَهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ لِيَهْنِئْكَ الْفَارِسُ فَقَالَ [عليه السلام] لَا تَقُلْ ذَلِكَ وَ لَكِنْ قُلْ شَكَرْتَ الْوَاهِبَ وَ بُورِكَ لَكَ فِى الْمَوْهُوبِ وَ بَلَغَ أَشُدَّهُ وَ رُزِقْتَ بِرَّهُ
Imam Ali (as):
A man congratulated another on the birth of a son in ʿAlī’s presence, saying, ⟨May the warrior bring you joy!⟩ ʿAlī rebuked him: Don’t say that! Say instead: May you thank your divine benefactor, may his heavenly grace encompass this child who is his gift, may the child grow to full strength, and may you be blessed with his devotion!
