الإمام السّجاد (عليه السَّلام):
اتَّقُوا الكَذِبَ الصَّغيرَ مِنهُ والكبيرَ، في كلِّ جِدٍّ وهَزلٍ، فإنّ الرجُلَ إذا كذبَ في الصَّغيرِ اجتَرَأَ علَى الكبيرِ.
L imam Zayn al- Abidin avait l habitude de dire à ses enfants : Craignez et prenez garde au mensonge, qu il soit petit ou grand, et qu il soit dit sérieusement ou par plaisanterie, car si un homme dit un petit mensonge, il aura assez d assurance pour en dire un grand.

Abū Jaʿfar, Muḥammad b. Yaʿqūb b. Isḥāq al-Kulaynī Al-Rāzī (Arabic: ابوجعفر، محمّد بن یعقوب بن اسحاق الرازی) (c. 255/868-9 - 329/941) was among the greatest Shi'a hadith scholars and the author of al-Kafi, the most authentic Shi'a hadith collection and one the Four Books. He was born after the martyrdom of Imam al-'Askari (a), at the time of Imam al-Mahdi (a) and met some hadith transmitters who directly had heard hadiths from Imam al-Hadi (a) and Imam al-'Askari (a). It is said that al-Kulayni was very accurate in transmitting hadiths. Ibn Qulawayh, Muhammad b. Ali Majilawayh al-Qummi, Ahmad b. Muhammad al-Zurari were among his students.

Al-Ḥasan b. ʿAlī b. al-Ḥusayn b. Shuʿba al-Ḥarrānī (Arabic: الحسن بن علی بن الحسین بن شعبه الحرَّانی) is a Shi'i hadith compiler. His major work on hadith is Tuhaf al-'uqul. There are two works attributed to al-Harrani; al-Tamhis and Tuhaf al-'uqul fi ma ja' min al-hikam wa l-mawa'iz min Al al-Rasul.
