لِلظَّالِمِ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ ثَلَاثُ عَلَامَاتٍ يَظْلِمُ مَنْ فَوْقَهُ بِالْمَعْصِيَةِ وَ مَنْ دُونَهُ بِالْغَلَبَةِ وَ يُظَاهِرُ الْقَوْمَ الظَّلَمَةَ
Imam Ali (as):
The oppressor among the people has three signs: he oppresses his superior by disobeying him, and his junior by imposing his authority and he supports other oppressors

مَنْ بَالَغَ فِى الْخُصُومَةِ أَثِمَ وَ مَنْ قَصَّرَ فِيهَا ظُلِمَ وَ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَتَّقِيَ اللَّهَ مَنْ خَاصَمَ
Imam Ali (as):
He who goes too far in a dispute is a sinner; he who falls short in it is oppressed; and the one who falls into a dispute often cannot be wary of his duty to God.

أَحْلِفُوا الظَّالِمَ إِذَا أَرَدْتُمْ يَمِينَهُ بِأَنَّهُ بَرِي‏ءٌ مِنْ حَوْلِ اللَّهِ وَ قُوَّتِهِ فَإِنَّهُ إِذَا حَلَفَ بِهَا كَاذِباً عُوجِلَ الْعُقُوبَةَ وَ إِذَا حَلَفَ بِاللَّهِ الَّذِى لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ لَمْ يُعَاجَلْ لِأَنَّهُ قَدْ وَحَّدَ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى
Imam Ali (as):
If you want an oppressor to take an oath, ask him to swear that he is out of Allah's might and His power [if he is not telling the truth], because if he swears falsely in this way, he will be quickly punished, while if he swears by Allah Who is such that there is no god but He, he will not be quickly punished since he is expressing the Unity of Allah, the Sublime.

Imam Ali (as):
Imam Ali (AS) said to a man soliciting advice from him, 'Do not be like the one who... guides others but misguides himself; is obeyed by others but he himself disobeys (Allah); he seeks fulfillment (of obligations towards himself) but does not fulfill his obligations (towards others)

Imam Ali (AS) said to a man soliciting advice from him, 'Do not be like the one who... passes verdicts against others for his own interests and does not do so against himself for others' interests.'

خَيْرُ النَّاسِ مَنِ انْتَفَعَ بِهِ النَّاسُ وَ شَرُّ النَّاسِ مَنْ تَأَذَّى بِهِ النَّاسُ وَ شَرٌّ مِنْ ذَلِكَ مَنْ أَكْرَمَهُ النَّاسُ اتِّقَاءَ شَرِّه‏ .
The Prophet Muhammad (S):
The best of people is the one whom people benefit from and the worst of people is the one by whom people are tormented, and even worse than that is when people respect someone in an attempt to remain safe from his evil.

أَعْدَلُ النَّاسِ مَنْ أَنْصَفَ مَنْ ظَلَمَهُ ، أَجْوَرُ النَّاسِ مَنْ ظَلَمَ مَنْ أَنْصَفَهُ .
Imam Ali (as):
The most just person is the one who maintains fairness to someone who has wronged him, and the most unjust person is the one who wrongs someone who has been fair to him.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Allah, Mighty and Exalted, says: 'He who harms a believing servant of Mine must expect a war waged by Me, and he who honors a believing servant of Mine is safe from My wrath.'

مَنْ تَوَلَّى خُصُومَةَ ظَالِمٍ أَوْ أَعَانَ عَلَيْهَا ثُمَّ نَزَلَ بِهِ مَلَكُ الْمَوْتِ قَالَ لَهُ أَبْشِرْ بِلَعْنَةِ اللَّهِ وَ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ وَ بِئْسَ الْمَصِير. و قَالَ: مَنْ دَلَّ جَائِراً عَلَى جَوْرٍ كَانَ قَرِينَ هَامَانَ فِي جَهَنَّم‏.
The Prophet Muhammad (S):
The Prophet (SAWA) said: 'He who undertakes the task of an oppressor’s disputation with someone or helps him with it, the angel of death will say to him when descending to seize his soul: ‘Receive the tidings of Allah’s curse and the fire of Hell which is an evil destination.' And he also said: 'One who leads a tyrant towards an act of aggression will be the companion of Haman in Hell.'
