Imam Ali (as):

Imam Ali (as):
Greed takes a person to the watering place but gets him back without letting him drink of It, undertakes responsibility but does not fulfil it. Often the drinker gets choked before the quenching of his thirst. The greater the worth of a thing yearned for the greater is the grief for its loss.

Imam Ali (as):
Imam Ali (AS) said to a man soliciting advice from him, 'Do not be of those who … utter words like the ascetics concerning this world, though in practice they behave like those who covet it; if they are allowed something from it, they do not feel satisfied, and if denied, they are not content.'
