الإمام علي (عليه السَّلام):

مَنْ أَحْسَنَ فِيَما بَيْنَهُ وبَيْنَ اللهِ كَفَاهُ اللهُ مَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ النَّاسِ

Imam Ali (as):

Whoever does well regarding what is between him and God will be helped by God in his dealings with people.

Imam Ali (as):

O Allah I seek refuge in You from looking good in the gleaming mirror of people's eyes whilst my inward self that I conceal [from others] be ugly in front of You.

وُدُّ الْمُؤْمِنِ (لِلْمُؤْمِنِ) فِي اللَّهِ مِنْ أَعْظَمِ شُعَبِ الْإِيمَانِ أَلَا وَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ فِي اللَّهِ وَ أَبْغَضَ فِي اللَّهِ وَ أَعْطَى فِي اللَّهِ وَ مَنَعَ فِي اللَّهِ فَهُوَ مِنْ أَصْفِيَاءِ اللَّهِ.

The believer’s love [for a fellow believer] for the sake of Allah is one of the greatest branches of faith, and the one who loves for Allah, hates for Allah, gives for Allah, and denies for Allah is among the chosen servants of Allah.

رسول الله (صلی الله علیه و آله):

مَنْ طَلَبَ الْعِلْمَ لِلَّهِ لَمْ يُصِبْ مِنْهُ بَاباً إِلَّا ازْدَادَ بِهِ فِي نَفْسِهِ ذُلًّا وَ فِي النَّاسِ تَوَاضُعاً وَ لِلَّهِ خَوْفاً وَ فِي الدِّينِ اجْتِهَاداً وَ ذَلِكَ الَّذِي يَنْتَفِعُ بِالْعِلْمِ فَلْيَتَعَلَّمْه‏.

The Prophet Muhammad (S):

He who seeks knowledge for Allah, no sooner does he learn even a chapter of it than it increases him in humility within himself, in humbleness in front of people, it increases his fear of Allah and his striving in religion, and that is the one who benefits from the knowledge, so he should acquire it.
