الإمام جعفر الصادق (عليه السَّلام ):
لا يَستَغْني أهلُ كلِ بلدٍ عن ثلاثةٍ يُفزَعُ إليهِم في أمرِ دُنياهُم وَ آخِرَتِهِم، فإن عَدِموا ذلكَ كانوا هَمَجاً؛ فَقيهٌ عالِمٌ وَرِعٌ، وَ أميرٌ خَيّرٌ مُطاعٌ، وَ طبيبٌ بَصيرٌ ثِقةٌ.
Los habitantes de cualquier tierra [país] no pueden prescindir de tres [tipos de personas], en quienes pueden refugiarse por todo lo que concierne a su vida aquí o a su vida en el Más Allá, y si carecen de ellos se volverían salvajes: un erudito sabio y piadoso, un gobernante correcto y obediente y un médico experimentado y confiable.

There are two works attributed to al-Harrani; al-Tamhis and Tuhaf al-'uqul fi ma ja' min al-hikam wa l-mawa'iz min Al al-Rasul.
