إنَّ اللّهَ عزّ و جلّ خَلقَ النّاسَ كُلَّهُم على الفِطْرَةِ الّتي فَطَرهُم علَيها ، لا يَعرِفونَ إيمانا بشريعةٍ و لا كُفرا بِجُحودٍ ، ثُمّ بَعثَ اللّهُ الرُّسلَ تَدعو العِبادَ إلى الإيمانِ بهِ، فمِنْهُم مَن هدى اللّهُ و مِنْهُم مَن لَم يَهْدِهِ اللّهُ .

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):

Allah, Mighty and Exalted, created all people according to the divine nature upon which He originated them, while they knew neither belief in religion nor disbelief and denial of faith, until Allah sent messengers to invite people to belief in Him, then Allah guided some of them and left some others misguided.

إتّقوا اللّه الّذى إن قلتم سمع و إن أضمرتم علم.‏

Imam Ali (as):

Fear God who, if you utter something, he hears it, and if you conceal something in your heart, he knows it.

مَا زَالَتْ عَنْكُمْ نِعْمَةٌ وَ لَا غَضَارَةُ عَيْشٍ إِلَّا بِذُنُوبٍ اجْتَرَحْتُمُوهَا وَ مَا اللَّهُ‏ بِظَلَّامٍ لِلْعَبِيدِ.

Imam Ali (as):

The bounties and enjoyments of life cease to remain with you only as a result of the sins you have committed, and God is not ever unjust to [His] servants.

It surprises me how one who sees God's creation can possibly have doubt about His power.

Indeed, God is well aware of what one conceals in his heart, and of the utterances of every speaker, and the deeds of every agent.

If you knew the worth of Allah s mercy, you would rely solely on that.

مَن وَثِقَ بأنَّ ما قَدَّرَ اللّهُ لَهُ لَن يَفُوتَهُ اسْتَراحَ قَلبُهُ.

Imam Ali (as):

He who has confidence in the fact that whatever sustenance Allah has apportioned for him will definitely reach him has secured comfort for his heart.

رسول الله (صلی الله علیه و آله):

لَو تَعْلَمونَ قَدْرَ رَحمَةِ اللّهِ لاتَّكَلْتُم علَيها وَ ما عَمِلْتُم إلّا قليلًا، و لَو تَعْلَمونَ قَدْرَ غَضَبِ اللّهِ لَظَنَنْتُم بأنْ لا تَنْجوا.

The Prophet Muhammad (S):

If you knew the extent of Allah's mercy, you would have depended on it and performed only a few deeds, and if you knew the extent of Allah's anger, you would believe that you will not be saved.
